"My Body as Haikus", FEMNewsmagazine
Arts + Creative Section, May 2023
Haikus traditionally paint portraits of changing seasons through detailed, yet concise imagery of nature. In this series of haikus, I string a poetic story of mental illness, picturing a metaphorical environmental change that happens within the body of an emotionally sick character praying for, and eventually obtaining, recovery.
"God must be a Man", FEMNewsmagazine
Arts + Creative Section, April 2023
This poem references Margaret Atwood's famous "male fantasies" quote from the The Robber Bride, and further comments on the inescapability of the male gaze, showcasing the mental and emotional strain it can have on women, even in solitude.

"Rat on Polished Wood", FEMNewsmagazine
Arts + Creative Section, January 2023
This short story was written with the first-generation college experience in mind, and sheds light on the feeling of "impostor syndrome".
"The House That Hoards", The Mandarin Magazine
Vol. 3, Issue 2 Autumn 2022
This poem eerily personifies a house that clings to its dirty objects, as a poetic conceit for family dysfunction.

"The Loss of Girlhood", Matchbox Magazine
Issue 16
This poem contextualizes female aging as a picturesque loss of girlhood: beautiful, and brutal.
